Upcoming Blog Posts

We have the opportunity to take another good sized vacation before school starts again and so we are going to take it starting tomorrow. As a result, my blog will be on autopilot again for a period of time and I'm using that to post a compilation of posts on one line of my family tree that have been updated with information gleaned from my earlier trip out to Oregon. I figure this is as good of time as any as many might not be too interested in reading them all but I still want to post them so they are out there in case other researchers are looking for them. I will try to check in from time to time while on the road to publish any comments but if I don't respond to each as per my custom, it was because I was busy doing other things with my family.

I always like to break up the words of a post with a picture and so I'll leave you with one from our garden showing the area with the climbing dry shell beans. It looked like a jungle when I took the picture but with the high heat and lack of rain the last few weeks, I'm sure they will look much different the next time we go down. The bush dry bean were already starting to turn. But the pods are nice and filled out so I think we will end up with a good crop for mostly an experimental crop. The potatoes are done and just need to be dug. The sweetcorn is done. The other garden full of squash, melons and gourds was looking great but the lack of moisture will certainly put the damper on them. But it is what it is and that is just fine by me.
