Its a really big job when its the first clean of the season, having been stood all winter it gets really dirty and green ...yuk!
Hubby got out the ladders and his caravan washing brush and started on the roof, he was shattered after doing this bit, its all at arms length while balancing on the steps.
I made a start on the seals with another brush, they were really manky. We both worked hard for about 5 hours, scrubbing and washing, rinsing and polishing. Then I cleaned the windows inside and hoovered, finally we were done.
The result was a sparkling clean caravan all ready for the off :-)
We don't have any plans to go just yet, everything is still at the basic planning stage and when the weather is right we will be off. Ahhhh the beauty of being retired..... freedom.... and the open road.Just need to make sure that there are plenty of basic homemade ready meals in the correct tubs to fit into the little freezer, frugal living doesn't stop for holidays. We always try to use farm sites that charge only a few pounds a night, we have all our own facilities and solar power, all we need is a place to park with fresh water and somewhere to empty the waste. Can't wait :-)
The other outside cleaning jobs done this week : both cars were cleaned and polished by hubby while I cleaned all the conservatory windows and frames inside and out. While hubby cut all the grass I cleaned out the greenhouse.
Its been a hectic few days but nice ones and its great to tick those jobs off the list. Have you managed to tick any long awaited jobs off the list this week?
