BIGHORN News Update

[Latest news from New Hampshire filmmaker Alfred Thomas Catalfo and his short film BIGHORN.]

Hi Everyone,

I'm just back from Montana where BIGHORN screened to a packed house at the Little Bighorn Symposium sponsored by the Custer Battlefield and Museum Association. The crowd loved the film and it received special accolades from descendant Jon Custer and historian-author James Donovan. Our own Custer, Steve Alexander, then invited me to join him and the 7th Cavalry in the Real Bird Native American re-enactment of the battle on the original site. I dodged charging horses and raging gunfire on the banks of the Little Bighorn River, dying alongside the General at the Last Stand on the 135th Anniversary of the battle. Quite an experience. See photos here. I also stood on Last Stand Hill alone at sunset, which was amazing and haunting.

We're pleased to announce that BIGHORN will be an opening night film at the 20th Annual Woods Hole Film Festival in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. The screening will be at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at the Old Woods Hole Fire Station, one of the festival's prime venues. Movie Maker magazine selected Woods Hole as "one of the 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World" and Filmmaker magazine called it "one of the Top 10 of 2010". We hope to see you there!

If you can't catch BIGHORN on the big screen, it can be viewed online at www.BighornMovie.com

My sincere appreciation to Imagine magazine for the very nice article about me in their new issue.

As always, our thanks to all of you for your encouragement, support and friendship! Have a wonderful and safe Fourth of July weekend.

Best,

Freddie
