Laneige Water Sleeping Pack and Sleeping Pack Ex

How is it that I've never blogged about the famous Laneige Water Sleeping Pack?

Laneige Water Sleeping Pack

This is the old packaging.

Available: All Laneige counters.

Volume: 80 ml.

Star Properties: Water Science Skin Care with the Water Pump System.

Packaging
I love the packaging because it fits really well in my hand, looks simple and clean, barring the fact that such a dip-in tub is not very sanitary.

I love this tub because it is big, sleek, simple, and clean-looking. So I washed it and now I am not sure what to use it for.

Product
I have run out of the original, so the one you see here is from a sample sachet.

On the left, the blue gel is Laneige Water Sleeping Pack, and on the right, the pink gel is Nature Republic Over-Night Deep Sleeping Mask, that I have previously blogged about.

The Laneige Water Sleeping Pack is watery, rubs clear, and absorbs like a dream. Whereas the Nature Republic Overnight Sleeping Mask is thicker, feels more silicone-ny, and doesn't absorbs as fast.

Absorbs Very Well
What I really love about this Water Sleeping Pack is that it absorbs really well. I normally slap on two twenty-cents coin amount of product onto my face after a good scrub, twice a week.

Effect
I don't think this is any miracle worker, but I do feel very comfortable after putting this on my face overnight. I think this is more of a maintenance cum indulgence kind of product, something that I use faithfully because it has become a habit.

Fragrance
There is a mild fragrance that can only be detected if you bring your hand right up to your nose. I do not object to fragrances in my skincare/cosmetics, in fact, I like it. So I actually enjoy this light scent when I put on the mask at night.

Sensitive skin?
It did not irritate my sensitive skin. The Laneige Water Sleeping Pack Ex seems to have alcohol-smell in it, but it didn't irritate me either. Weird, but true.

Irreplaceable
I have read up online about replacements or dupes for the Laneige Water Sleeping Pack, but I haven't come across any product reviews that sound good enough to match this.

Value-for-money
Laneige items are always considered cheap enough in my opinion, kind of like Clinique. You wouldn't break the bank buying this.

I like! 4.3/5.
Not a must-have for everybody, because I don't see miraculous improvement on my skin. But it is something that I feel I can't live without because it is so comforting, and I just keep using it, and using it.

I highly recommend it to anyone who just wants a comfortable overnight sleeping mask, suitable for dehydrated/sensitive skin to oily/combination skin. I don't think it will do much for dry to very dry skin though, because this is water-based, and very light.

PS: This was actually recommended to me by my beautician of 6 years. I have been on the Water Sleeping Pack ever since. I have not tried the Water Bank range though because I guess, I just trust the Sleeping Pack more.

Unfortunately, I have not repurchased, because I have to use up many brand new night creams/masks bought over the years.

Have you tried the oh-so-famous Laneige Water Sleeping Pack or Pack_EX? If no, have you tried other Laneige skincare, such as the Water Bank range? If you have tried Water Bank range, would you recommend that to me?
