There is a huge amount of new summer products out, but let's talk about some essentials I know are worth every penny.
Biotherm Aquasource Everplump This gel cream was the hype a few years ago. It's still out there because it works. The fresh gel plumps up the skin instantly and easy to combine with makeup.
Lancaster SPF 30 Bronzing Powder A bronzer that protects the entire face from the sun, lovely! It comes in 4 shades that can be blended or be used seperately to highlight or contour different parts of the face. It's cool toned and matte so it will give you that healthy glow rather than a shimmery bronzed look.
Nuxe Gel Demaquillant Fondant This gel cream doesn't foam but is designed to remove makeup from eyes and face by just rubbing it in. I find it is very plumping and smoothing when used with a rubber pad. One of the most softening cleansers I know.
Lancaster Sun Beauty SPF 15 Melting Milk I'm not an oil person. Oil makes me look shiney, expresses lines and makes me feel like I'm baking. It also seems to melt constantly and cling to everything, even dry oil. So for me it's water based or milky sun lotions. This year I might get this milky lotion by Lancaster as soon as I have emptied the Garnier dry spray SPF 50 and my Lancaster dry oil spray.
Mavala Nail Colours One thing I don't like to spend money on is nail polish. Nail brand Mavala sells a huge range of colours (see Douglas.nl). The colours come in different series like country names (more metallic), flower names (more pastel) and animal names (more bold). In the picture are Southbeach pink and Lilac Orchid.
Chanel Les Beiger Powder SPF15 A high end powder with SPF is not so common, I believe. I know Clinique has one but Clinique... sucks, sorry ;)
Avène Thermal Water Spray Overheating is a big problem in the summer. Spray your skin, hair, face with the Avène thermal water. Thermal water soothes irritation, dryness, bug bites and fortifies the skin with minerals.
Too Faced Natural Nudes Lipstick I still haven't decided which colour is thé summer colour. Matte pink stains, earthy reads or sheer glossy beiges and pinks, I just don't know. On tanned skin, pink lipstick can look a bit funny. To expres your blue eyes even better, a beigy lipstick can be a solution. Too Faced (Estée Lauder) came with a series of brown lipsticks.
Guerlain Terracotta Light Vitamin Shine This gorgeous new bronzer promises to protect the skin against free radicals and to energise it. It comes in three shades, both warm and cool.
Dior Miss Dior Hair Perfume To get all the boys this summer, mist your locks with the Dior Miss Dior Hair Perfume. Dior promises it refreshes and protects the hair. If this doesn't make you feel luxurious then I don't know what does!
